What it does
The Catalogue lets customers browse your designs inside WhatsApp. You group photos into collections, like "Cotton kurtas" or "Bridal lehengas". When a customer types a word like catalogue, the bot sends one swipeable card for each collection. They tap View designs to see the photos, and Order to place an order.
Changes show to the very next customer. There is nothing to publish.
When to use it
Perfect Fit Tailors
Rekha stitches kurtas, blouses and lehengas. She makes three collections and adds 20 photos to each, with a design number and a price on every photo. Customers type "catalogue", swipe through the cards, open Blouses, and tap Order this on the design they like. The booking form already knows the collection and design number.
Steps
Create a collection
Open Catalogue and tap + New collection. Write a Title (up to 60 characters), an optional Short text (up to 160 characters, at most 2 line breaks) and an optional Price label like "From ₹499". The preview on the right shows how the card looks in WhatsApp. Tap Create collection.
Add photos
After the collection is created, tap + Add photos or drop photos on the box. You can pick many at once. Photos are shrunk on your phone or computer before they upload, and you see each one's progress. If one fails, its reason shows next to it (for example Not uploaded: your storage is full). When your storage is full the rest stop uploading. A collection holds up to 100 photos.
Under each photo you can type a Design no., a Price and a Caption. Tap Save on the photo when you change something. Drag a photo to change the order, or use the ← and → buttons.
Choose the cover and turn it on
Under Cover photo, tap Choose from photos or Upload cover. If you don't pick one, the first photo is used. Switch Show in the catalogue on, then tap Save changes.
On the Collections tab you can drag cards to change the order, switch a collection On or Off, or use ⋮ to edit or delete it. A card marked Hidden — plan allows N is on, but your plan shows only the first N collections.
Select many photos at once
Tick the boxes on photos (or Select all). A bar appears with Delete, Move to collection… and Set price…. Set price with an empty box to clear the price.
When you delete photos or a collection, ApnaBot asks Also delete N unused photos from library? Leave it ticked to free the storage, or tap Keep in library.
Set up the bot
Open the Bot settings tab. Here you choose:
- Keywords and Other words (aliases) that open the catalogue. Add a word and press Enter.
- The Main message, the “View designs”, “Order” and “Show more” buttons, the Menu label and the Empty-catalogue text. Leave a box empty to use the built-in wording, which you see in grey. Each text has a box per language if you turned on extra languages.
- Photos per page (1 to 10) and Photo style: Plain photos, or Photo + “Order this” button.
- What Order does: Send a message, Start chat booking or Send booking form. For the last two you pick one of your replies. The collection, design number and price are filled in for the customer, so you don't ask again.
- Add Catalogue to my main menu puts a button in the menu customers see when they say "hi".
Tap Save settings. Switch the catalogue Live at the top of the page when you are ready.
Share a link and QR code
Open the Share tab. Tap Copy link to use it in your Instagram bio or status, or Download QR (PNG). Print / Save as PDF makes a poster with your shop name, Scan to see our catalogue and the QR code, as A4 or A6. Tap Preview on WhatsApp at the top to see what customers see.
See what customers do
The Insights tab shows, for the last 7 days or 30 days, how many customers opened the catalogue, looked at collections and designs, tapped Show more, and ordered. The table lists your collections with the most orders first.
Example
storefrontBright Minds Coaching
Anita makes a collection "Study material" with a photo of each book and its price. She sets Order to Send a message: "Thanks! Reply with the book name and we will confirm the delivery." Parents who scan her QR code at the front desk get the catalogue straight away.
Good to know
- Only the business owner can change the Catalogue. Staff can look at it.
- If the word you pick is already used by another reply, ApnaBot tells you which one and asks Replace it with the Catalogue? If you agree, the old reply is turned off and every button that opened it now opens the Catalogue. Nothing is deleted.
- If your main menu already has 3 buttons, it says Your main menu is full. Remove a button on the canvas, or change the menu to a list.
- Your plan sets how many collections customers see. Turning one more on than your plan allows shows an Upgrade message.
- A keyword in Hindi or another Indian script only works once native-script matching is switched on for your business. The page warns you when that applies.
- On the Auto-Replies canvas the catalogue shows as one read-only box with Edit in Catalogue page →. You can't edit or delete it there.
- Tap ✨ Translate catalogue into… to fill the empty translations of everything in the catalogue. Design numbers and prices are never translated, and texts you wrote yourself are never changed.
- If the catalogue is Off, or has nothing to show, customers get the Empty-catalogue text.
